Panasonic Lumix G9 Micro
Panasonic India has launched the Lumix G9 in India, Eventually, after Declaring it globally in 2017.
Saying Panasonic India was late to the party could be a huge understatement. It's a little weird to start a camera this late in its own lifecycle but mercifully, the Lumix G9 has aged pretty well and a lot of the attributes are still applicable. It is a micro four-thirds camera using in-body stabilisation (IBIS), 4K 60fps recording, dual card slots, plus a weather sealed body.

The Panasonic Lumix G9 is priced at Rs. 98,990 for just the body and Rs. 1,39,990 using all the 12-60mm kit lens. The camera will soon be available through all Panasonic brand shops as well as other major online and offline retail areas.
The pricing looks decent considering that the hardware characteristics and capabilities of this camera especially for movie. It was a pretty big deal as it started back in November 2017. But a lot has changed in this price segment over recent years. Sony's excellent A6600 (Inspection ) APS-C mirrorless camera is around this budget, not to mention that the Sony A7 III full-frame camera also. Fujifilm also includes reputed X-T3 APS-C camera and Panasonic's own GH5S (Inspection ) can be found here also.
The Lumix G9 comes with a 20.3-megapixel, micro four-thirds sensor. It promises a fast autofocus system that's said to have the ability to lock focus in 0.04 seconds. There's also in-body 5-axis stabilisation for beer handheld shooting in low light. The OLED electronic viewfinder has a resolution of 3.68 million dots, which can be complemented by the back, full-articulating LCD screen. The Lumix G9 has a rugged design that is dust, freeze and splash proof. In addition you get two SD card slots plus a secondary LCD panel on the top of the human body.
The camera boasts of unique shooting modes, which we've observed in Panasonic's latest offerings such as the GH5S. It may take 6K or even 4K burst modesup to 30fps or 60fps respectively. It can do face and eye tracking, and features built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
