Alphabet's Google said on Friday it has asked Workers to take a day Away on May 22, to Tackle work-from-home-related burnout during the coronavirus pandemic.
Chief Executive Officer Sundar Pichai announced the move in a memo to workers on late Thursday, which was first reported from CNBC.
Google stated it would start reopening more offices internationally as early as June, but most Google employees would probably work from home until the end of this year.
Facebook also said on Friday it would allow workers that can work remotely to do so before the end of 2020.
The virus, which has infected over 3.9 million individuals globally so far, has forced strict lockdowns in many nations and changed the way businesses operate, together with work from home appearing as the new standard.
